By bus [ edit] From Tirana take the bus directly to Dhërmi every midday, at the bus station for south. Buses run erratically between Vlorë and Sarandë. They are cheap and also stop at the national park just south of Vlorë which has several restaurants. The road is excellent over the top of the mountain pass as you head south to Sarandë.

I don't think there are regular busses / minibuses to Dhermi so you had better take one that is heading up and passes by Dhermi. Definitely you can find a taxi which is more convenient but more expensive too. Enjoy your vacations!

Dhermi is the larger last town on the coastal route between Saranda (68 km) and Vlora (56 km) before the road disappears into the Ceraunian Mountains in Llogara National Park. Around Dhermi are several larger and smaller, more hidden beaches.

Multiple buses to and from Vlora and Saranda leave daily. The schedule isn't exactly fixed, but information centers and signs should point you towards the correct routes. When in doubt, head to the bus stations in each of the cities and ask the driver's for the Dhermi bus. They should point you in the right direction.

Other places that are only 15-45 minutes away by car are Himara (the most populous and "happening" city on this coastal stretch north of Sarandë), Palasë (a quieter beach town), Porto Palermo (an even quieter beach town with an epic secluded fortress), Llogara (a jawdropping mountain pass) and the Ceraunian mountains of course for hiking.

The road (singular) up the coast from the main beach town of Saranda to the village of Dhërmi and onward to the capital of Tirana is windy and sits cliffside. There's occasionally livestock in the street, and nearly every car you pass is a Mercedes.. Where to Stay in Dhermi: Hotel Imperial. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely.
